Brian graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture majoring in Crop Science. He also obtained a Diploma in Brewing Science from the Siebel Institute in Chicago in 1994.
Brian brings a wealth of experience to his position with 26 years progressive management in the Malting industry in Canada and the U.S. He spent 12 years with Canada Malting at plants in Toronto, Calgary and Thunder Bay. Approximately half of this time in Thunder Bay was as Head Maltster. He was Plant Manager of Malting Division with Genesee Brewing in Rochester N.Y. for 3 years; 7 years with Froedtert Malt/International Malting as Plant Manager of Milwaukee Plant and Corporation; Manager, Brewing Materials responsible for logistics at locations in Milwaukee, Chicago and Winona, and was also responsible for technical service on all Miller Breweries supplied by the company. Brian was manager of
the Nipawin Plant for SW Seed Canada Ltd. for the last 2 years before joining FarmPure Seeds in 2006. |

Sharon began her career working for Newfield Seeds in Nipawin where she gained her Senior Analyst Accreditation through Agriculture Canada. After several years as an office manager and medical assistant for a family practice, Sharon joined SW Seed Canada Ltd. In her role as General Manager, Lab Services, she developed an operating plan for Lab Services in Brandon, including budget, lab protocol and staff recruitment. She was also responsible for the annual budget and financial results of the Seed Lab Division. Sharon has served on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Seed Technologists and presently holds the seat of Secretary. Sharon has participated in the Commercial Seed Analysts Association of Canada over the past few years with activities and Board positions such as 1st Vice President, Research & Referee, Treasurer and as an instructor at workshops. |
